Tech John diagnosed kitchen range not working. After a full diagnosis of the circuit, proper voltage was verified at the range connections. The conduit was found to be loose from the connector allowing the wire to touch the sharp bare metal enclosure. The wiring was not damaged, but this could pose a safety and fire hazard. The conduit was reattached to the connector and reinstalled properly. The cause for no power was determined to be a tripped breaker in the electrical panel. The breaker handle was still in the "on" position, but the breaker was tripped internally. After resetting the breaker, the range and oven were verified to be operational, except for 2 of the stove eyes. A commercial appliance technician would be required for further diagnosis of the 2 eyes.

Tech John diagnosed garage circuit that was tripping breaker randomly. The cause was determined to be a faulty dual function breaker. The breaker was replaced and tested for proper functionality. A GFCI receptacle was also replaced with a standard receptacle on the garage circuit to eliminate redundancy that could cause nuisance breaker trips. A faulty GFCI receptacle was replaced on the upstairs deck/porch. A home inspection was performed and the findings were discussed with homeowner.

Tech John diagnosed issue with sparks coming from under sink. The issue was determined to be water leaking from the dishwasher water line and causing an electrical short. The main shutoff valve was turned off and the homeowner was advised to seek a plumber for repairs. Power was restored to the dishwasher for further diagnosis/evaluation, and only 40-50 volts was recorded between hot and neutral. It is recommended a new dedicated GFCI protected circuit be installed for the dishwasher to be safe and operational.
